Wild without GM Bill Guerin, multiple coaches due to COVID-19 protocol

The Minnesota Wild will be without two assistant coaches and a video room staffer due to COVID-19 protocol as they begin a three-game road trip Tuesday starting in Vancouver, general manager Bill Guerin said.Guerin said he also was in COVID-19 protocol recently and is not with the team in Vancouver because he tested positive for the virus within the past 14 days. He plans to rejoin the team in Seattle.Assistant coach Darby Hendrickson, goaltending coach Frederic Chabot and T.J. Jindra, who helps in the video room, are not on the trip. Assistant general manager Chris O’Hearn will help video coach Jonas Plumb with video duties.The Wild, 4-1 to start the season, play at Vancouver against the Canucks on Tuesday, at the Seattle Kraken on Thursday and at the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
